Junior Boks crowned champions after 29-all draw

South Africa’s Junior Boks won the Southern Hemisphere Under-20 Rugby Championship unbeaten after drawing 29-29 with New Zealand in their final match.

The Junior Boks scored a bonus-point try early in the second half to clinch the title at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha. The draw ensured they completed the tournament without a loss as reigning Under-20 World Champions.

New Zealand finished second after securing only one victory, against Australia, in the opening match. Australia and Argentina each recorded a single win as well.

The result came on the same day the match was played, according to reports published Saturday evening.
