Kennesaw State University's esports team achieved notable success at the Peach Belt Conference Championships, held as part of the Florence Esports Festival in Florence, South Carolina, in November. The event, organized by the Florence Parks and Recreation Department in collaboration with the Peach Belt Conference, featured tournaments in Overwatch, Rocket League, and Marvel Rivals over two days. It combined competitive play with casual gaming activities for students, families, and the gaming community.

KSU's 25 student-athletes participated actively, leading to key wins. In the Overwatch Champions Division Final, the top-seeded Owls defeated the No. 3-seeded Columbus State team to claim victory. Similarly, in Rocket League, KSU defended its Masters Division title for the second consecutive year, remaining undefeated throughout the tournament. Dylan Taussig earned the Rocket League Most Valuable Player award for the second year running, highlighting the team's sustained excellence.

Freshman Mark James Burnett II reflected on the experience: “This was an amazing experience that taught us not only what it takes to be great but also how to have fun while working towards that goal. Thank you to everyone who was able to put together such a great event; we can’t wait for the next!”

These achievements underscore KSU's growing prominence in collegiate esports within the Peach Belt Conference.
