La Jolla Concours d'Elegance marks 20th anniversary with 'Icons of Speed' theme

The 20th Annual La Jolla Concours d’Elegance, powered by Events.com, is scheduled for April 24–26, 2026, at Ellen Browning Scripps Park in La Jolla, CA. This anniversary edition spotlights the theme “Icons of Speed: Historically Significant Super Cars,” focusing on vehicles that advanced speed and performance from 1935 to 1996, such as the Mormon Meteor and McLaren F1.

The event features 16 classes highlighting marques with racing heritage, engineering feats, and cultural impact: Icons of Speed (1935-1996), Pre-War American (1925-1939), Pre-War European (1925-1939), Post-War American (1947-1967), European Suit with American Heart (1950-1969), Post-War European open (1949-1973), Post-War European closed (1949-1973), Production Built Turbocharged Cars (1962-1996), The French Connection (1931-1974), Rising Sun JDM Japanese icons (1965-1996), Mercedes-Benz SL (1954-1972), VW Type 2 Bus (1950-1967), Porsche Special Wishes (1955-1996), American Muscle (1953-1982), Prancing Horse Ferrari (1962-1984), Hyper Car exhibition (1995-2025), and Formula 1 exhibition (1950-1996). Over 200 rare automobiles will be judged on elegance, technical merit, and historical significance, with awards including Best of Show.

The weekend schedule includes:
- Friday, April 24 (6–10 p.m.): Motorvault VIP Opening Soirée, themed 'Masterpieces of Motion, Mystique, and Mastery,' with hosted bar, culinary offerings, live entertainment, auction, and rare cars.
- Saturday, April 25: Tour d’Elegance (7 a.m.–2 p.m.) with private collections, scenic drives, and luncheon; Porsches & Power on Prospect (5–9 p.m.), a free showcase of Porsches, supercars, hypercars, live music, receptions, and dining.
- Sunday, April 26 (9 a.m.–4 p.m.): Main Concours display, plus the adjacent free La Jolla Motor Car Classic for classic, luxury, and vintage cars open to all.
