The sixth episode of Landman season 2, titled Dark Night of the Soul, arrives on Paramount Plus on December 21. This installment continues the drama's exploration of the oil industry in West Texas, with Tommy Norris facing intensified challenges. The series, co-created by Taylor Sheridan, has already seen strong viewership in its second season.
Season 1 of Landman introduced viewers to Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris, a crisis manager in the high-stakes world of oil companies. The show achieved the most-watched global premiere and finale for any Paramount Plus series, earning Thornton a Golden Globe nomination for his portrayal of Norris.
In season 2, Norris encounters mounting pressure from M-Tex Oil and Cami Miller, played by Demi Moore. The storyline builds on the season 1 finale with the return of Andy Garcia as a cartel boss. Sam Elliott joins the cast as Norris's father, adding depth to the family dynamics amid the fortune-seeking in oil-rich West Texas.
The first five episodes of the 10-episode season are already streaming. New episodes release on Sundays at 12 a.m. ET, which corresponds to 9 p.m. PT on Saturdays for West Coast viewers. Episode 6 streams on December 21, followed by episode 7 on December 28, episode 8 on January 4, episode 9 on January 11, and the season finale, episode 10, on January 18.
Paramount Plus offers two subscription tiers: Essential at $8 per month with ads, and Premium at $13 per month, ad-free, including downloads, live CBS, and Showtime content. Annual plans are $60 for Essential and $120 for Premium. A price increase is scheduled for January 15, raising monthly plans by $1 and annual Essential by $30, with Premium annual up $20.
Landman is part of Taylor Sheridan's extensive Paramount Plus lineup, which includes Yellowstone prequels like 1883 and 1923, as well as Lioness, Lawmen: Bass Reeves, Tulsa King, and the ongoing Mayor of Kingstown.
