Las Ceibas inaugurates modern monitoring center in Neiva

Las Ceibas Empresas Públicas de Neiva has concluded 2025 with exceptional results, highlighted by the inauguration of the Real-Time Monitoring Center, a technological tool to enhance water supply in the city. This center enables predictive control of water resources, detecting leaks and remotely operating valves. The entity also reported historic revenues and robust investments in infrastructure.

Las Ceibas Empresas Públicas de Neiva rendered accounts at the end of the 2025 fiscal year, presenting achievements that solidify its status as a model entity in the region. Under the leadership of manager Andrés Eduardo Charry Guilombo, the company inaugurated the Real-Time Monitoring Center, described as a "technological brain" to optimize water management.

The center provides total control of the network, allowing remote operations from mobile devices or computers. Charry Guilombo explained: “With the new system, the network control is total: from a cell phone or computer, the city's valves are operated remotely, ensuring that water arrives with the right pressure to each home, but also, the system instantly identifies leaks, allowing faster repairs and less waste of the liquid”.

Mauricio Rodríguez, Technical and Operational Submanager, highlighted the alliance with CAM to integrate rain and level sensors, anticipating hydrological risks. “Through this constant monitoring and the integration of intelligent sensors, we have managed to anticipate hydrological risks. This not only guarantees the protection of our plants but ensures the stability and continuity of the service for all Neivans in the face of any environmental emergency,” stated Rodríguez.

Financially, Las Ceibas achieved revenues exceeding $82.888 million and transferred nearly $3.000 million in profits to the Neiva municipality. It reduced its debt by 53.19% with payments over $14.200 million and invested $48.420 million in more than 30 water and sewer works, distributed across the city's 10 communes. These works, funded 60% with own resources, eliminated septic tanks in areas like Granjas Comunitarias and improved sewerage in San Antonio de Anaconia with a treatment plant for $3.800 million.

Additionally, the entity acquired its own machinery for $650 million, saving more than $750 million annually in rentals, and launched the “Las Ceibas in your hands” app for digital procedures. With 99% coverage in aqueduct and 97% in sewerage, Las Ceibas reaffirms its role in Neiva's development.
