Levi’s has launched a stitch-for-stitch reproduction of one of its oldest archived designs, the 1870 Nevada waist overalls. The garment revives details from the 1870s that predate the iconic 501 jeans.
The release took place on May 20 and features deadstock Cone Mills White Oak plain selvedge loomstate denim made in the USA. It includes period-correct elements such as single-needle back construction, 1873 rivets, a center-back leather patch, and a distinctive left-thigh tool pocket that reflects the workwear needs of the era.
