Lightning sign Noah Steen to two-year entry-level contract

The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed forward Noah Steen to a two-year, entry-level NHL contract starting in the 2026-27 season. General manager Julien BriseBois announced the deal, with Steen set to join the Syracuse Crunch for the rest of the 2025-26 AHL season on a tryout. The 21-year-old Norwegian impressed in Sweden this year.

The two-year entry-level contract will begin with the 2026-27 NHL season. Steen, an Oslo native drafted by the Lightning in the seventh round, 199th overall, of the 2024 NHL Draft, will report immediately to the Syracuse Crunch on an AHL tryout for the remainder of the 2025-26 season. Steen recorded 12 goals and 22 points in 52 games with Orebro HK of the Swedish Hockey League this season, ranking fourth on the team in goals and sixth in points. He finished with a plus-6 rating, tied for third-best among Orebro skaters. The 21-year-old also served as an alternate captain for Norway at the 2025 IIHF Men’s World Championship, where he scored two goals, tying for second on the team.
