Lola Young, Fuerza Regida, and BigXthaPlug to headline SXSW 2026 showcase

Rolling Stone has announced the headliners for its fourth annual Future of Music showcase at South by Southwest 2026 in Austin, Texas. The three-night event will feature U.K. pop singer Lola Young, Mexican American group Fuerza Regida, and Texas rapper BigXthaPlug across March 12-14.

The showcase, returning to Austin's ACL Live at the Moody Theater, highlights emerging sounds in pop, hip-hop, country, música mexicana, and beyond. It ties into Rolling Stone's annual Future of Music issue, set for newsstands in April with stories launching mid-March.

On March 12, Lola Young will headline the opening night. The U.K. artist rose to prominence with hits like “Messy.” The following evening, March 13, Fuerza Regida takes the stage, the San Bernardino, California-based group known for arena-rocking performances. They will be joined by acts from Street Mob Records, founded by frontman Jesús Ortiz Paz. Closing out the event on March 14 is home-state hero BigXthaPlug, whose track “Texas” has garnered significant attention.

Additional performers for all nights will be revealed soon. Past headliners have included Benson Boone, Peso Pluma, Rema, Young Miko, Megan Moroney, and Ivan Cornejo, underscoring the showcase's focus on innovative music.

Tickets go on sale to the public Friday at 10 a.m. Central Time through AXS, with reservations for SXSW Platinum and Music Badge holders as well as Music Festival wristband holders. The event promises a curated lineup reflecting the evolving music landscape.
