Louis Tomlinson releases 'Palaces' from third album

Global music star Louis Tomlinson has unveiled 'Palaces,' a new track from his third album 'How Did I Get Here?,' which is out now. The guitar-led pop song reflects on returning to one's hometown and features introspective lyrics. Tomlinson has also announced a major world tour for 2026.

Louis Tomlinson, known worldwide from his time with One Direction, continues to build his solo career with the release of 'Palaces' on January 31, 2026. This punchy, anthemic track, centered on guitar-driven pop, explores themes of nostalgia and hometown roots. It was written and recorded in the United Kingdom. In the song, Tomlinson sings, “I’m lost in time, I don’t care for the world outside,” and adds, “You can stay through the night in the palaces of my mind.”

The single follows 'Lemonade,' the album's first release, which has garnered over 14 million streams and earned playlist spots on BBC Radio 1, Radio 2, and Capital in the UK. Tomlinson recently appeared on Radio 1’s Live Lounge, performing 'Lemonade' alongside a cover of Hozier’s “Too Sweet.” He is also set to headline Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball this December.

For 'How Did I Get Here?,' Tomlinson has emphasized personal growth as a lyricist, songwriter, and performer, delving deeper into his identity. He began shaping ideas in the English countryside before spending three weeks in early 2025 at Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, collaborating with co-producer Nico Rebscher. The natural surroundings there influenced the album's overall sound and themes.

Building excitement, Tomlinson announced the 'How Did We Get Here? 2026 World Arena Tour,' kicking off in Europe in March 2026 and hitting North America starting June 3 at Vancouver's Pacific Coliseum. The tour includes 27 dates across the continent, with stops at Los Angeles' Crypto.com Arena, New York’s Madison Square Garden, Boston’s TD Garden, and wrapping up July 24 at Miami’s Kaseya Center. An Amazon Music Presents session for 'Palaces' is also available, offering fans an intimate listen.
