The romantic musical comedy Maybe Happy Ending, which explores the unlikely bond between two obsolete robots, Oliver and Claire, has reached a new milestone with the announcement of its Original Broadway Cast Recording. Produced by Ghostlight Records, the album preserves the score by composers Will Aronson and Hue Park. Pre-orders began on Friday, February 21, while the single “The Rainy Day We Met” became available for streaming and download immediately. The complete recording will launch in digital and streaming formats on March 14, followed by CD and vinyl editions later in the spring. Deborah Abramson, Ian Kagey, and Will Aronson handle production duties.

The show opened at the Belasco Theatre on November 12, 2024, drawing strong reviews and audience praise. It has been named the “Best Theatre of 2024” by outlets including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, New York Magazine, The Washington Post, Time Out New York, and Entertainment Weekly. A fresh block of tickets is now on sale through September 7, 2025, available at the box office, Telecharge, or by calling 212-239-6200.

Led by Darren Criss as Oliver, alongside Helen J Shen as Claire, Dez Duron, and Marcus Choi, the production is directed by Tony Award winner Michael Arden. The creative team includes designers Dane Laffrey for sets and video, Clint Ramos for costumes, Ben Stanton for lighting, Peter Hylenski for sound, and George Reeve for video. Music supervision is by Deborah Abramson, with John Yun as music director.

Originating as a Korean-language version in Seoul in 2016, where it won six Korean Musical Awards including Best Musical, the English adaptation received the 2017 Richard Rodgers Production Award. Its U.S. premiere occurred at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta during the 2019-2020 season, also under Arden's direction. The Broadway production boasts an extensive list of producers, including Jeffrey Richards, Hunter Arnold, and Darren Criss himself.
