MySims Collection Cosy releases on PC after Switch debut

The MySims Collection Cosy, bundling the classic simulation games MySims and MySims Kingdom, became available on PC platforms on March 18, 2025. Originally released on Nintendo Switch on November 19, 2024, the package revives the child-friendly titles from the MySims series. Published by Electronic Arts, it offers creative gameplay focused on town-building and exploration.

The announcement of MySims Collection Cosy followed leaks on online retailers' sites, with confirmation during a Nintendo Direct presentation on August 27, 2024. These games, originally hits on Nintendo DS and Wii, form part of the MySims saga derived from The Sims license. Players customize avatars and engage in mini-games like furniture making, fishing, cooking, landscaping, and house building to restore towns and attract residents.

The collection's synopsis highlights its appeal: "Make adorable friends and discover creative adventures through retro reissues of two irresistible games in MySims™: Cosy Collection. Use your imagination to rebuild a city in MySims™ and help an adorable magical kingdom become even better in MySims™ Kingdom. Come and enjoy the stories to discover, the places to explore and the many characters with strong personalities you'll meet."

On Nintendo Switch, the games emphasize soothing, stress-free gameplay without timers or complex quests, allowing creativity in world-building. MySims Kingdom introduces a magic wand mechanic, differing slightly from the base MySims. A review notes that while nostalgia draws in childhood fans, repetitive tasks may limit appeal for adults, though it serves as an entry point for younger players into simulation genres. The port from touch-screen controls to buttons and joysticks on Switch reduces precision compared to originals.

The PC version launched via Steam and the EA App, priced at €39.99. The last MySims title, MySims SkyHeroes, appeared in 2010, leaving fans awaiting updates until this revival.
