Norwegian club Narvik is reportedly targeting Swedish forward Albin Eriksson to replace star player Linus Pettersson. The 25-year-old has been linked with a move after Pettersson departed for Stavanger Oilers.
According to Norwegian outlet Hockey4You, Narvik has worked for some time to sign Eriksson amid competition from other clubs. The forward played over 120 SHL games with Färjestad and Skellefteå after being drafted by the Dallas Stars in 2018.
Eriksson recently ended the season with Almtuna following stints in HockeyAllsvenskan with BIK Karlskoga and Östersund. He recorded a career-best 35 points in 47 games during the 2022/23 season but has seen lower production in recent years.
Pettersson, named player of the year in EHL last season, has already left Narvik for Stavanger. The potential addition of Eriksson would bring SHL experience to the Norwegian side.
