Manuel Neuer, the 40-year-old goalkeeper of FC Bayern München, spoke calmly in the ZDF-Sportstudio about the debate on a national team comeback. "There will be the World Cup, but I'm not in it now and not part of it, so I'm watching relaxed from the outside," he said.
Following the 5-0 Bundesliga win against FC St. Pauli, Neuer's focus is firmly on FC Bayern. "My focus is simply on FC Bayern and I've said that repeatedly, and it's just fun in the squad," he explained. On Wednesday (21:00 CET/DAZN), Bayern face Real Madrid at home in the Champions League quarter-final second leg, after a 2-1 first-leg win where Neuer made strong saves.
