Nike unveils neon-inspired Air Max Ishod skate shoe

Nike SB has released a new version of its Air Max Ishod sneaker, drawing on the classic neon design from the original Air Max 95. The shoe features grey suede and mesh with yellow accents, tailored for skateboarding. It is available now for $115 at select skate shops.

Nike's latest sneaker offering combines the heritage of its iconic Air Max line with skate-specific functionality. The Air Max Ishod, also referred to as the Ishod 2, adopts the "Neon" colorway originally popularized by the Air Max 95. This design choice includes subtle grey tones on the upper made from suede and mesh, accented by highlighter-yellow details that nod to the original model's vibrant aesthetic.

The Ishod model has previously incorporated influences from other Air Max variants, such as the "Silver Bullet" scheme of the Air Max 97. It demonstrates versatility, adapting well to patterns reminiscent of classic Dunks or Jordan styles. Nike has previously produced skate-adapted versions of the Air Max 95, but the neon iteration on the Ishod stands out for its clean appearance suited to the skate park.

This release expands Nike's broader "Neon" collection, which also encompasses the Air Max 90, Air Max Plus, and the foundational Air Max 95. The lineup caters to a range of preferences among Air Max enthusiasts, including those in the skateboarding community. The neon Air Max Ishod is currently available at retailers like Premier for $115.

The shoe's design emphasizes durability and style, making it a practical choice for skaters while appealing to collectors of Nike's storied Air Max series.
