Nikki Glaser to host Golden Globes 2027 for third time

Comedian Nikki Glaser has been announced as the host for the 84th annual Golden Globes, marking her third consecutive year in the role. The ceremony will air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+ on January 10, 2027. Glaser, who made history as the first solo female host in 2025, expressed excitement about returning to the stage.

The Golden Globes organization revealed that Nikki Glaser will return to emcee the awards show in 2027, following her hosting duties in the previous two years. The event, the 84th in its history, is scheduled to broadcast live from an unspecified venue on Sunday, January 10, 2027, via CBS and Paramount+.

In a statement, Glaser shared her enthusiasm: "I'm thrilled to host the Golden Globes for a third time, not only because it's the greatest gig I've ever had, but because my sister has three kids and now we will be equal in the eyes of my parents and the Lord."

Helen Hoehne, President of the Golden Globes, praised the comedian's return: "We are thrilled to welcome Nikki back to the Golden Globes stage in 2027. Her comedic precision, authenticity, and ability to command the room is unmatched, and we can't wait to see what she has up her sleeve for next year's show."

Glaser first hosted solo in 2025, becoming the first woman to do so. During that ceremony's opening monologue, she targeted CBS News, The Rock, and Sean Penn, among others. Her rising profile includes being named Comedian of the Year by The New York Times in 2024 and inclusion in TIME's 100 Most Influential People list in 2025.

Her 2024 HBO stand-up special, "Someday You'll Die," received nominations for Emmy, Grammy, Golden Globe, and Critics Choice awards, along with a Writers Guild of America win. Glaser's next special, "Good Girl," is set to premiere on Hulu on April 24.

This announcement underscores Glaser's growing prominence in comedy and awards show hosting.
