Örebro SK Fotboll has appointed 47-year-old Emre Güler as new VD and club manager. He succeeds interim appointee Niklas Aronsson, who stepped in after Jonas Lindegren's departure in mid-August. Güler presents his motto as 'brain, heart, cash'.

ÖSK Fotboll announced on its website that 47-year-old Emre Güler will be the new VD and club manager. The appointment follows a turbulent period. Jonas Lindegren left his position with immediate effect in mid-August, after more than three years in the role. Niklas Aronsson then stepped in as interim club manager in early September, while retaining his role at ÖSK Ungdom. At that time, the men's team had not won a single match in Superettan, and the women's team was in a relegation spot in Elitettan. Aronsson describes the current situation as different: 'Right now it feels good to hand over. Now ÖSK should build something long-term, for three to five years ahead. I can't really see myself working that long.' ÖSK's official guiding words are 'pride, heart, passion'. Güler, who lives in Strängnäs with his partner and two daughters – the same town as head coach Rikard Norling but they were not previously acquainted – has his own version: 'brain, heart, cash'. He explains: 'It can easily become a lot of heart in a football club, but you must not forget brain and cash.' The club now focuses on long-term development.
