Coach Bojan Hodak cautioned against complacency, noting Semen Padang's desperation at home. "I think they will play 200 percent. This will certainly be a tough match," Hodak said.
Local goalkeeper Teja Paku Alam, from Padang, stressed professionalism: "Actually, all matches are the same because we need to win. The main thing now is that we must get the three points first." He acknowledged Semen Padang's individual quality despite inconsistencies.
Winger Beckham Putra, scoreless for the club since January but sharp internationally with two goals in six caps for Indonesia, received praise from Hodak: "I'm happy Beckham scored two goals, he played well."
