Police search for missing Limpopo woman and two children

Police in Limpopo are searching for a 37-year-old woman and her two sons who have not been seen for months. Phindile Phalatse, Lebone and Lethabo were last in contact with family in January. Neighbours last saw them around March 2026.

Limpopo police opened enquiry dockets after a relative visited the family home in Onverwacht, Lephalale, last Saturday. Neighbours had alerted the family that they had not seen the trio for an extended period.

Spokesperson Hlulani Mashaba said investigations are under way to establish the whereabouts of the missing persons and the circumstances surrounding their disappearance. Phindile Phalatse and her sons Lebone, aged 12, and Lethabo, aged seven, were last in contact with family members in January this year.

The search follows reports from neighbours and relatives in the area who raised concerns about the prolonged absence.
