Pulp film to screen one night only in cinemas

Pulp has released the first trailer for its new concert film 'What Do You Do For An Encore?'. The 90-minute feature will preview for one night only in select cinemas before streaming on MUBI.

Global distributor MUBI confirmed the one-night-only cinema previews on Thursday July 23. Screenings are set for UK and Irish cinemas on September 18, Canadian theatres on September 23 and US cinemas on September 24.

Directed by Garth Jennings, the movie features narration from frontman Jarvis Cocker and blends footage from the band's recent arena tour with archival material. It charts the group's journey from Sheffield obscurity to Britpop icons.

A live album titled 'Live!' capturing the band's June 2025 O2 shows will be released via Rough Trade on August 28. The film will stream exclusively on MUBI later in the year.
