Eight people have been arrested in the Ram Mandir donation theft case in Ayodhya. Trust secretary Champat Rai and trustee Dr. Anil Mishra resigned on moral grounds.

The court has sent all eight arrested accused to judicial custody until June 29. Investigation agencies have so far recovered around 79.85 lakh rupees.

Sculptor Arun Yogiraj of the Ram Lalla idol said that if any mistake has occurred the guilty must receive punishment. He stressed the need to protect the faith of devotees.

Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust member Vishwa Prasanna Tirtha Swami mentioned the trust meeting on July 11. He expressed faith in the government and hoped for a fair probe.

Mumbai-based Vishwa Sindhi Seva Sangam has sought details of 200 silver bricks donated in 2021. The organisation wrote to the trust asking for a receipt and information on utilisation.
