Renegade Game Studios and AMC announce Anne Rice roleplaying game

Renegade Game Studios is partnering with AMC Global Media to develop Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe Roleplaying Game. The gothic horror title will draw from AMC’s television adaptations and launch via crowdfunding in autumn 2026.

The game centers on vampires, witches, psychics and humans whose lives connect through love, ambition, loyalty and loss. Chronicles may span decades or centuries, with a Flashback System letting players revisit past events that reshape the present narrative.

Players can move between modern-day New Orleans and settings such as 19th-century Paris. Mechanics include three damage tracks for physical, psychological and emotional harm, plus a collaborative Rewrite feature that allows participants to shape scenes.

The initial crowdfunding campaign on BackerKit will offer an Interview with the Vampire Starter Set, the New Orleans Rulebook and premium accessories. Future supplements are planned to cover other parts of the Immortal Universe, including Mayfair Witches.
