The Telkom Radio Awards, marking its 15th year, gathered radio industry professionals to honor the best programming and contributions from the past year. Held at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, the ceremony on December 6, 2025, saw SABC stations dominating several categories in the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) division.
In the Best Talk Show category, SAfm's 'The Talking Point' emerged as the winner. Umhlobo Wenene FM took home the Station Imaging award, while Ukhozi FM's 'Sigiya Ngengoma' was named the top Music Show. Lotus FM celebrated two victories: Yashika Ramautar for Content Producer and Taliesha Naidoo for News Bulletin Reader with 'Lotus FM News Bulletins.' Ikwekwezi FM's 'Siditjhile with Collin Biziwe Masango' won the Daytime Show category.
RSG also shone, with 'Kuns met Kontant' receiving the Business and Finance award. Additionally, Mariétta Kruger was inducted into the Hall of Fame, and Derrich Gardner was recognized in the Station Manager’s Choice category.
These awards underscore the SABC's commitment to quality public broadcasting, encouraging innovation and excellence in radio content that serves diverse South African audiences. The event, supported by Telkom and Arena Events, provided a platform for stations to showcase impactful work.
