Scott Wiener confronted at San Francisco Trans March

California state Sen. Scott Wiener faced protests and was asked to leave the Trans March in San Francisco on June 27, 2026. March participants objected to his positions on Israel and Gaza.

Video footage shared on X showed attendees surrounding Wiener as he walked through the gathering. Several shouted at him about his Gaza policy and accused him of betrayal.

One participant said, “I think your policy on the genocide of Gaza is terrible. I think you do not belong here.” Others called him a “genocidal piece of sh*t” and told him, “You stopped being queer the moment you started supporting Israel.”

Wiener, who is running for the U.S. House seat held by Nancy Pelosi, had criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after the October 7 attacks. In January 2026 he stated that he believes Israel has committed genocide in Gaza.

Dimitry Yakoushkin, who posted the video, wrote that Wiener was removed from the march for the first time. Former reality star Spencer Pratt also commented on the incident on X.
