Shannon Bream named grand marshal for Tallahassee parade

Fox News anchor Shannon Bream, a Tallahassee native and Florida State University graduate, has been selected as the grand marshal for the 2026 Springtime Tallahassee Grand Parade. The event is scheduled for March 28, 2026, in downtown Tallahassee. Bream's new book, 'Nothing is Impossible with God,' is set for release on March 10, 2026.

Shannon Bream, anchor of 'Fox News Sunday' and chief legal correspondent for Fox News Channel, grew up in Tallahassee, Florida. She graduated from North Florida Christian School more than 30 years ago and attended law school at Florida State University in 1996. After practicing law, Bream transitioned to journalism, starting as an intern at an ABC affiliate in Tampa while continuing her legal work.

In 2017, she began hosting 'Fox News @ Night' at 11 p.m. weeknights. By 2022, Bream replaced Chris Wallace as host of 'Fox News Sunday,' becoming the first woman to lead the program in 26 years. She also hosts the podcast 'Livin' the Bream,' where she shares stories of faith, personal anecdotes, and insights into politics.

Bream debuted as an author in 2021 with 'The Women of the Bible Speak: The Wisdom of 16 Women and Their Lessons for Today,' a New York Times and USA TODAY bestseller. Follow-ups include 'Mothers and Daughters of the Bible Speak: Lessons on Faith from Nine Biblical Families' in 2022, which hit USA TODAY's Bestselling Books list, and 'Love Stories of the Bible Speak.' Her upcoming book, 'Nothing is Impossible with God,' features 'Eleven Heroes. One God. Endless Lessons in Overcoming' and is described as a collection of Biblical stories to encourage readers feeling stuck spiritually.

Bream maintains strong ties to Tallahassee. Her late father, Leon County Commissioner Ed DePuy, lived there, as did her mother, stepfather, and brother. She spoke at FSU's 2011 spring commencement and participated in Q&As and book signings in 2022, 2023, and 2024. Now based in Washington, D.C., she will return as grand marshal for the 58th annual Springtime Tallahassee Grand Parade, starting at 10:30 a.m. on March 28, 2026.

Reflecting on her career shift, Bream said in a 2022 interview: 'I’ve always been sort of a news junkie... I was a few years into (law) practice when I really started to feel that pull into something else. I started by interning … and I immediately fell in love with the newsroom.'
