A shooting on Södra Kopparbergsvägen in Gävle late on October 13 injured six people, including teenagers. Witnesses describe chaos and panic as shots were fired at a group of youths. A 13-year-old boy is suspected in the incident, linked to gang violence.

The shooting occurred around 11 p.m. on Södra Kopparbergsvägen, near the Olstugan pub in central Gävle. According to police, several shots were fired at a group of young people, resulting in six injuries. Among the victims is 17-year-old Elsa Wiklund, who was hit in both legs and is described as one of the most seriously injured. 'There was a lot of blood', a witness told Aftonbladet about the scene.

Elsa Wiklund was on her way home when the shooting began. She was assisted by passersby, including 29-year-old Hampus Östlund, who encountered the injured girl outside Olstugan. 'She came hopping on one leg', Östlund said to Aftonbladet. A couple, Christer and Nathalie, were eating late-night food at a nearby restaurant when they heard the shots. 'We took care of a shooting victim girl who wanted to call her parents', they told SVT.

Pub staff at Olstugan and nearby venues acted quickly to help the injured. An employee described the situation as 'very chaotic' with panic on the street. Police suspect a 13-year-old boy in the shooting, and according to Expressen, he may be linked to the criminal group G15, which has instilled fear in Gävle. Municipal leader Calle Andersson called the event 'horrific' and noted that 'all of Sweden is shaken' by the violence.

The background points to gang conflicts in the area, but police have not fully confirmed the motive. The injured were taken to hospital, and none are reported to be in life-threatening condition. The incident has sparked strong reactions locally, focusing on youth violence and safety in Gävle.
