Soyou has temporarily halted her scheduled activities following the death of her father. The singer's agency made the announcement on July 25.
Soyou’s father passed away at the age of 70. The agency stated that the wake and funeral proceedings will be held privately in accordance with the wishes of the bereaved family.
“We ask for your generous understanding so that [Soyou] can have time to mourn together with her family, and we offer our blessings to the departed,” the agency said.
The announcement came one day before today’s date of July 26, 2026. The agency offered condolences to Soyou and her family during this time.
