Spider-Man: Brand New Day wraps filming after August start and Tom Holland injury

Marvel Cinematic Universe's Spider-Man: Brand New Day has completed principal photography following an August start in Scotland and a brief pause due to Tom Holland's stunt injury. Director Destin Daniel Cretton announced the wrap on December 19, 2025, with the film set for July 31, 2026 release as a lead-in to Avengers: Doomsday.

Filming kicked off in August in Scotland, starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in this Sony-Marvel collaboration—the fourth solo Spider-Man outing post-No Way Home. Production hit a snag the following month when Holland sustained a mild concussion during a stunt at Pinewood UK studios. He received hospital treatment but was not admitted, and no other injuries occurred. Shooting resumed promptly and wrapped on December 19, 2025.

Cretton shared set photos and gratitude on Instagram for the cast (including returning Zendaya as MJ and Jacob Batalon, plus newcomers Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas) and crew. Producers Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige oversee the project, scripted by Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna.

The film continues Peter Parker's story in a world that has forgotten his identity, bridging to Avengers: Doomsday. Holland next joins Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey with Zendaya, Matt Damon, and Anne Hathaway.
