TDP holds hybrid Mahanadu 2026 with digital tools

The Telugu Desam Party conducted its two-day Mahanadu 2026 in a hybrid format from Mangalagiri on Wednesday, using technology to connect over seven lakh participants across Andhra Pradesh.

The event took place virtually from the party’s central office. Leaders including Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu were given timed slots, with Naidu allotted 45 minutes for the presidential message. The hybrid setup was chosen to reduce fuel costs following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal for resource conservation amid the West Asia war.

TDP national working president and IT Minister Nara Lokesh oversaw the digital architecture. The party established 1,875 digitally connected clusters statewide and used a GPS-enabled system on the MyTDP platform to send personalised invitations and direct participants to nearby centres.

A central command-and-control centre monitored proceedings in real time. Thousands of booth-level and constituency-level volunteers served as digital anchors, assisting with app access, QR attendance, and streaming support at the clusters.
