The Offspring cover Taylor Swift song at festivals

The Offspring have been performing a punk rock version of Taylor Swift's Love Story at recent live shows. The band aims to create the largest mosh pit ever formed to one of her songs.

The California punk band reimagined the track as a riff-heavy arrangement during festival performances. Lead singer Dexter Holland told crowds that Taylor Swift is super punk and directed fans to form the biggest Wall of Death ever during the song's bridge.

The group began including the cover in sets on June 16. They have played it nine times since, including at Luxexpo Open Air and Hellfest, where 50,000 people reportedly sang along and some moshed.

The Offspring continue their effort to set a record with the unusual choice of song ahead of Taylor Swift's reported wedding plans.
