Timnas Indonesia is scheduled to meet Cambodia in the Piala AFF 2026 opener at 20:30 WIB on Monday at Stadion Pakansari in Bogor. John Herdman said the team will not underestimate the opponent.
"In the next two days we focus on finalising preparations to face Cambodia. They are a good team with endurance," Herdman said in Sanur, Bali, on Saturday.
Striker Mitchell Baker, 19, said the Garuda squad is eager to play. He targets a win to start the tournament well.
"We will prepare ourselves as best as possible, then hopefully we can win on Monday," Baker said.
The team completed nearly three weeks of training camp in Bali and won 3-0 against Bali United in a friendly.
