Tony Seiniger, the poster designer nicknamed the Godfather of Movie Advertising for campaigns including Jaws, died May 11 in Atlanta. He was 87.

Born in New York City, Seiniger studied at the Rhode Island School of Design. He began his career at EUE/Screen Gems in New York, where he created posters for films such as Shaft and Mean Streets before founding Seiniger Advertising in Los Angeles.
