Vive Claro events boost over $65 billion in tourism

Concerts at Vive Claro in 2025, including Shakira and Green Day, generated over $65 billion in tourism impact and created nearly 5,000 jobs. They also contributed $27 billion in taxes and drew more than 250,000 fans, many from outside Bogotá and Colombia.

Vive Claro venue in Bogotá has set a milestone in Colombian entertainment by hosting events that revitalized the local economy. Artists such as Green Day, Guns N' Roses, Imagine Dragons, Linkin Park, Shakira, and Blessd drew a diverse audience, with over 10% of attendees from abroad and 26% from other cities in the country. These concerts not only gathered more than 250,000 people but also boosted tourism by $65 billion.

Since operations began, the organizing entity reported tax contributions exceeding $27 billion. In employment terms, around 5,000 jobs were created, including direct and indirect roles. Notably, Shakira, Linkin Park, and Green Day shows attracted the most international visitors, while Shakira, Imagine Dragons, and Green Day mobilized fans from regions far from the capital.

Vive Claro emphasizes sustainability: it implemented six artificial ponds that increased bird diversity from 36 to 45 species, projecting over 100. Native flora grew from 15 to more than 55 species, and tree cover from 302 to 1,286 individuals, with plans to reach 2,000 trees. In waste management, seven events produced 54,309 kilograms of waste, of which 39% is recyclable, 31% co-processable organics, 19% wood, and 11% organics.

It also promotes employability by hiring up to 300 people per concert for cleaning services, mostly female heads of household. To address noise, it operates under an Integral Noise Management Plan with over 20 measures, continuous monitoring, and community agreements like surveillance cameras and cultural integration. 'The project was not imposed on the neighborhood; it was built with the neighborhood,' the company stated.
