Watch Angels and Alpina launch IFR pilot chronograph

Watch Angels and Alpina have introduced a new limited-edition pilot's watch designed for Instrument Flight Rules operations. The 300-piece Startimer Pilot Chronograph Automatic IFR features a mechanical rotating bezel system to assist with holding pattern entries.

The collaboration produces a functional tool watch rather than a lifestyle accessory. Its bezel and flange allow pilots to determine hold entries mechanically, with color coding for direct, teardrop or parallel procedures. A UTC hand and 12-hour chronograph support additional flight timing needs. The Swiss-made AL-570 automatic movement provides a 62-hour power reserve while the IFR function operates independently of the caliber.
