Wheelchair racer wins first in runDisney springtime surprise 5k

A competitor in the Women's Pushrim Wheelchair category took first place in the Zootopia-themed 5k at Disney World's Springtime Surprise 2026 weekend. The athlete also placed second in the 10k and third in the 10 miler over the three-day event.

The Springtime Surprise Weekend featured races themed around popular Disney duos. The 5k highlighted Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, while the 10k focused on Winnie the Pooh and Tigger. The 10 miler centered on Joy and Sadness from Inside Out, and participants could complete a challenge covering all three distances for a total of 19.3 miles.
