Yes postpones European tour for Steve Howe's surgery

The progressive rock band Yes has delayed its European 'Fragile' tour so guitarist Steve Howe can recover from an essential operation. The 11-date run was scheduled to start on April 22 at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall in Scotland. The band announced the postponement on Instagram on April 2.

Yes shared the news on Instagram, stating, “The upcoming YES ‘Fragile’ UK and EU Tour, due to commence on 22nd April, has had to be postponed as guitarist Steve Howe requires an essential operation that requires recovery time.” The group emphasized the decision ensures Howe can return in full health for performances fans deserve. This tour follows the band's North American leg in 2025 and was to feature a full performance of their 1971 album Fragile throughout the UK and Europe. The band plans to reschedule the shows for later dates, with details coming after Easter. Fans should hold onto their tickets, which will remain valid. Other tour dates set for later in 2026 will go ahead as planned. Yes thanked UK fans for their support. Fragile, Yes's fourth album released in November 1971, peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. Of the original lineup, only Steve Howe remains active with the band.
