AIK Hockey ends contract talks with Robin Kovacs

AIK Hockey announced on Wednesday that negotiations with forward Robin Kovacs have been terminated. The club had engaged in constructive talks and offered one of its most comprehensive contracts in history, but no agreement was reached. AIK plans to continue building its roster with external funding.
AIK Hockey reported a profit of 628,000 kronor for the past year, its first in several years. Västerås and Almtuna also posted improved financial results in their recent annual reports.

AIK Hockey has appointed 37-year-old Viktor Tuurala as its new head coach for the men's team, with a contract running through the 2027/2028 season. Tuurala returns to Stockholm after leading Kalmar HC to second place in Hockeyallsvenskan's regular season and earning the league's coach of the year award. The club views his hiring as a key step in its future plans.
