Alerj votes to release deputy Bacellar and notifies STF

The Rio de Janeiro Legislative Assembly (Alerj) voted to release its president, deputy Rodrigo Bacellar (União), arrested on Wednesday (3) for suspected leaking of a police operation. Of the 65 deputies who voted, 42 were in favor, exceeding the minimum of 36 required. The decision will be communicated to STF Justice Alexandre de Moraes, who may impose alternative measures to imprisonment.
La Corte di Giustizia di Rio de Janeiro ha annullato giovedì (26) l'elezione del deputato Douglas Ruas (PL) a presidente dell'Assemblea Legislativa di Rio de Janeiro (Alerj). La decisione preliminare della presidente facente funzione, la desembargadora Suely Lopes Magalhães, cita un abuso di finalità e la mancata osservanza dell'ordine del Tribunale Elettorale Superiore (TSE). Guilherme Delaroli (PL) rimane presidente ad interim.
