A man attacked two Greek American tourists with a knife near the Acropolis Museum in Athens on Tuesday morning. The assailant was quickly detained by police. The victims received hospital treatment for their injuries.

The City of Athens awarded its official medal to Nobel Prize-winning Hungarian author László Krasznahorkai during the first Athens International Literature Festival.
