Broken Social Scene announce new album and North American tour

Canadian indie-rock band Broken Social Scene have revealed their first album in nearly a decade, Remember the Humans, set for release on May 8. The group will also embark on a summer tour with Metric and Stars. The announcement includes the lead single 'Not Around Anymore.'
Loukeman has announced his new album SD-3, due out April 24 on September Recordings. The lead single 'To the Sky' features a video packed with Canadian cultural references, including hockey, Molson Canadian beer and Canada Goose jackets. This release closes a trilogy that began in 2021.

Joni Mitchell accepted the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2026 Junos, the annual awards show hosted by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. She later joined Sarah McLachlan and Allison Russell for a tribute medley performance of “Big Yellow Taxi.” Prime Minister Mark Carney presented the trophy after a heartfelt introduction.
