Travis Bazzana, the Cleveland Guardians' second baseman and 2024 No. 1 overall draft pick, recorded his first major league hit and stolen base on Saturday in West Sacramento—just days after his call-up from Triple-A. The 23-year-old delivered a bases-loaded two-run single off Oakland Athletics lefty Hogan Harris in the seventh inning.

Cleveland Guardians rookie Parker Messick took a no-hitter into the ninth inning against the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday night at Progressive Field before Leody Taveras led off with a single. The Guardians won 4-2, with closer Cade Smith allowing the inherited runners to score after replacing Messick. Messick earned a standing ovation from the crowd.

Connor Brogdon slipped on rain-soaked grass while fielding a sacrifice bunt in the sixth inning but still recorded the out during the Cleveland Guardians' 5-3 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. The play came after back-to-back singles and helped keep the score tied at 1-1 momentarily. Both runners later scored to break the tie.

Travis Bazzana belted two home runs, including a grand slam, during the Cleveland Guardians' 10-7 Cactus League loss to the San Francisco Giants at Scottsdale Stadium. Jace LaViolette added a solo homer in his third spring at-bat. Both prospects impressed despite limited big-league camp time.
