Man suspected as hitman for network extradited from Greece

Ildar “Scar” Galiyev, described as one of Sweden's worst violent criminals, has been extradited from Greece. He is suspected of being the mastermind behind several murders and bombings linked to the criminal Dalennätverket. Galiyev is pointed out as a hitman for the network.
According to the latest statistics, no person has been shot dead in Sweden during January 2026. This marks the first month without a fatal shooting in almost eight years, since March 2018. Last year's 44 deaths from shootings highlight the contrast.
