Flea releases solo single 'A Plea' ahead of 2026 album

Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea has unveiled his new solo single 'A Plea,' a trumpet-led track addressing societal division and political unease. The song serves as the first preview of an upcoming solo album set for release in 2026 on Nonesuch Records. Flea returns to his roots as a trumpet player, collaborating with jazz musicians for the project.
Glasgow-based saxophonist Brian Molley and his quartet are set to release their sixth album, Tùs/Origin, on March 20. The record explores Scottish musical influences on jazz, drawing from traditions like Gaelic psalm singing and connections to abolitionist Frederick Douglass. Formed in 2012, the group has built an international reputation through tours and acclaimed releases.
