MGM+ and Paramount+ announce cast for Treasure Island series starring David Oyelowo and Hayley Atwell

MGM+ and Paramount+ have commissioned a six-episode adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel Treasure Island. Actor Matt Dillon has been cast as the lead in an upcoming eight-episode drama series on MGM+, reimagining the classic 1960 Western film The Magnificent Seven. The series, created by Tim Kring, follows a group of gunfighters protecting a Quaker village. Filming is scheduled to begin in Calgary in June.
