Paramount dates Sonic spin-off and TMNT movies for 2028

Paramount Pictures has announced release dates for two upcoming films in its popular video game franchises. A new Sonic the Hedgehog spin-off is set for December 22, 2028, while a hybrid live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot will arrive on November 17, 2028. Both projects aim to expand these successful universes with fresh stories.
Several independent films debuted in select theaters on June 26, including A24's comedy The Invite and Vertical's Couture starring Angelina Jolie.

The Cannes standout film La Bola Negra will release in select US theaters on November 6 before streaming on Netflix starting December 4.
