ESX Entertainment announced a theatrical release for its feature film adaptation of the Freevee series Casa Grande on May 1. The movie stars Lou Diamond Phillips and follows a prodigal daughter returning to her family's ranch amid a land dispute. Directed by Juan Pablo Arias Munoz, it builds on the original bilingual series set in Northern California's farmlands.

The final episode of Netflix's Stranger Things season 5 has garnered 1.1 million RSVPs for theatrical screenings on New Year's Eve. Co-creator Ross Duffer announced that 3,500 showtimes across more than 620 theaters are already sold out. The episode will also stream on Netflix concurrently.
