Becky Moody and her horse Jagerbomb secured the 2026 Zen Elite FEI Dressage World Cup title with a personal best score of 88.33% in the grand prix freestyle at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. The British pair retained the title for Great Britain amid standing ovations from the crowd. Christian Simonson and Indian Rock took second place with 83.81%.
Becky Moody and her home-bred partner Jagerbomb entered the arena as the final combination on Saturday night, performing a Beatles-inspired freestyle featuring tracks like All You Need is Love, Here Comes the Sun, and Come Together. Designed by Tony Hobden at Equidance, the routine earned four 9.5s and a 10 for the entrance and halt, with extensions and changes drawing cheers from the audience. The judge at H scored them 90.24%, sealing a convincing victory worth €60,500 in prize money. Becky said, “Today, right from the get-go, he was just so focused and so with me. The beauty of the freestyle is that you can showcase your horse’s strengths – he finds the changes on the curved lines very easy. Because he is good in the balance, he can go from one movement to another without a struggle.” She added, “I’ve never ridden in an arena like that. It’s just insane to be part of such a cool competition. The crowd was absolutely something else.” The win capped a debut week for the pair, who flew to their first overseas competition and won the grand prix on Thursday. Sandra Sysojeva and Maxima Bella finished third on 80.77%, while 2024 champions Patrik Kittel and Touchdown scored 80.26%. Christian Simonson, riding a Rocky-themed freestyle, said of the crowd, “At the end of my test, looking up and seeing this wall of people standing up, applauding Rocky and me was super special. It’s something I’ll never forget.” Elsewhere, Morgan Barbançon bid farewell to the 20-year-old Sir Donnerhall II OLD after her final competitive ride.
