BMKG forecasts light rain across most major Indonesian cities this weekend

BMKG weather forecaster Sastia said areas expected to see light rain include Medan, Tanjung Pinang, Padang, Jambi, Bengkulu, Palembang, Pangkal Pinang, Serang, Jakarta, Semarang, Surabaya, Palangka Raya, Banjarmasin, and Samarinda.

Sastia also noted potential light rain in Mataram, Kupang, Palu, Sorong, and Nabire. Potential rain accompanied by lightning is forecast in Pekanbaru, Pontianak, and Tanjung Selor.

Potential cloudy to overcast conditions are listed in Bandar Aceh, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Denpasar, Makassar, Kendari, Gorontalo, Manado, Ternate, Ambon, Manokwari, Jayapura, and Merauke. Potential smoke or fog is mentioned in Jayawijaya.
