The Buckinghamshire O50s Padel Tournament took place at UK Padel Holmer Green last weekend, determining county champions and team selections for an upcoming inter-county event. The tournament at UK Padel Holmer Green featured 16 pairs across the men's and women's competitions. Players vied not only for the County Champions title but also for spots in the county team for the annual O50s inter-county competition scheduled in Bristol in April.
Competitors came from various clubs, including UK Padel Holmer Green, UK Padel Stoke Poges, Great Missenden, Chesham 1879, Maidenhead, and the Padel Hub Slough. In the men's division, Nick Coghill and Nick Baker claimed victory, while Steve Mcgregor and Dan Ryalls finished as runners-up.
The women's event followed a round-robin format, with Jo Mowle and Julie Molloy named as winners. Other notable participants included Rebecca Brett, Emma Crammer, Catrin Thomas, and Alison Bhargav.
This event is part of UK Padel's expanded competition programme, which includes 70 official events across the country. Padel, recognized as the world's fastest-growing sport, is gaining significant traction in the UK, drawing more enthusiasts to its fast-paced gameplay.
