A 27-year-old driver was seriously injured in a head-on collision on Landstraße 3188 in the Wetteraukreis. His car veered off the road, collided head-on with a vehicle driven by a 39-year-old woman, and then flipped over.
The crash occurred in the evening on Landstraße 3188 near Niddatal. According to police, the 27-year-old initially veered off the road and into the oncoming lane, where he collided head-on with the 39-year-old woman's car.
The man's vehicle flipped over and came to rest upside down in the woods several meters away. He suffered a severe head injury and was airlifted to a hospital by rescue helicopter. The woman sustained minor injuries.
The road was fully closed during the accident investigation. The property damage is estimated at around 25,000 euros.
