Chief Justice Martha Koome and several Cabinet Secretaries have made appointments and reappointments to key government institutions in a gazette notice dated June 12.
Chief Justice Martha Koome reappointed Winnie Tsuma as a member of the National Environment Tribunal for a three-year term effective February 9, 2026. She also reappointed Charles Ongoto as chairperson of the Retirement Benefits Appeals Tribunal for another three-year term beginning April 21, 2026. Timothy Kimathi and Anthony Kiprono were reappointed as members of the same tribunal.
Eight individuals were reappointed as members of the Tax Appeals Tribunal. They are Spenser Sankale Ololchike, Gloria Awuor Ogaga, Erick Komolo, Timothy Vikiru, Abdullahi Diriye, Makau Martin James, Eunice Ng’ang’a and Boniface Terer.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen reappointed Ali Nyamai as a member of the Board of the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse and appointed Simon Kande to the board for a three-year term. Water Cabinet Secretary Eric Mugaa reappointed John Kiplelei Kirui as a member of the Board of the Central Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency.
Transport Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir appointed Abdillahi Khamisi Mutwafy as a member of the National Transport and Safety Authority Board for a three-year term. Trade Cabinet Secretary Lee Kinyanjui reappointed Nimo Omar Haji to the National Standards Council. Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya appointed Barnaba Korir and Ronald Milare as members of the Sports and Arts Fund Board for three years. ASALs Cabinet Secretary Beatrice Askul appointed Rosemary Omuony as a member of the Coast Development Authority board for a one-year term and reappointed Gilbert Tenai Bor to the National Drought Management Authority Board for three years.
